Administrative Assistant - Outagamie Waupaca Library System

Administrative Assistant:  The Outagamie Waupaca Library System (OWLS) seeks a full-time administrative assistant to perform a variety of secretarial tasks including purchasing and billing, records management, preparing reports, maintaining calendars, helping with the packing and unpacking of library materials for delivery, answering and referring telephone calls, general word processing and filing, printing and bindery tasks, greeting and assisting visitors, and sorting mail. The administrative assistant will work closely with other OWLS staff to provide outstanding service to libraries throughout northeast Wisconsin.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate an ability to work independently, organize and prioritize work, respond to varied/changing work demands, and make decisions as required. Must be organized and detail-oriented. Must have good interpersonal skills and communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

The individual selected will demonstrate strong computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office. Experience with accounting software a plus. Preference may be given to individuals with experience working in a public library setting. High school diploma required, college graduate preferred.

Work with a small staff in a friendly, collaborative office environment. Hours may vary from 35-40 hours per week, scheduled between 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, M-F. Salary negotiable from $13.81 per hour, dependent upon qualifications. Excellent benefits.
