A study published by Google and UCSD in late 2014 indicated that over 13% of (or about 1 in 8) people lured to malicious forms actually submitted data. This correlates with the generally accepted fact that social engineering tactics are still very successful in harvesting account and identity information. Translation? Malicious Social Engineering works, and Cyber Security awareness is a must!
